3.6 kVA Isolation Transformer
ASEA’s Isolation Transformer is a drop-in replacement for Charles IsoG2 designed to protect vessel under-fittings from galvanic corrosion and to shield onboard electronics from reverse polarity and shore power fluctuations. It also ensures safety by preventing the boat from sending unintended electric currents into the surrounding water.
Features:
- Ignition Protected: Certified to ABYC C-1500 requirements, making them safe and reliable to use in gasoline-powered marine vessels.
- Galvanic Corrosion Protection: By isolating AC shore power from the boat’s AC power system, the ASEA Isolation Transformer protects the boat from galvanic corrosion.
- Marina electrical leakage compliance: With NEC 555.35 becoming mandatory for marinas to check and limit the amount of leakage available per vessel, an isolation transformer doesn’t allow any electrical leakage back to the power pedestal.
- Charles Isolation Transformer Replacement: ASEA’s isolation transformers are designed as a direct and improved replacement for Charles IsoG2.
- GFPE Tripping Prevention: Eliminates false GFPE tripping by preventing current flow back into the dock, guaranteeing an uninterrupted power supply, even as a transient occupant.
